About the Free Website Program

As part of our goal to give back to the animal welfare community in 2010 – Pawsitively Design has started a program to donate our web services and provide a FREE website to qualified 501c3 non-profit animal welfare organizations. This pro-bono website opportunity is open to any non-profit organization that works for animal welfare, animal rights, or animal rescue.

What you get

  • Custom professional website design
  • A website built using WordPress as a Content Management System to allow you to maintain the website yourself.

  • Facebook, Twitter, myspace and other social networking links
  • AddThis integration to give visitors the ability to “share” your site on social networks
  • Statistics using Google Analytics
  • Integration with your chosen online donation service (any fees charged by donation service are not covered under the free website program)

Whats the catch? There is no catch! But there are some things we should mention:

  • We do not cover the cost of hosting or the purchase of your domain name – but we’re more than happy to suggest some low-cost options.
  • The website will be built on WordPress to allow you to easily make changes to the content on your site, post news articles, and manage users – and generally be able to maintain your whole site in-house. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to offer any extended maintenance with the free program – but all of our services to you will be always be discounted!
  • We aim to select ONE non-profit quarterly for the free website program. However, due to the volume of requests, we make no guarantees that your application will be considered or approved within a specific timeframe. Pawsitively Design will keep all eligible requests on file, and randomly select them throughout the year. If/when your site is awarded a donated site you will be notified by email.
  • Pawsitively Design will require a tax receipt for donated work performed.
  • Any services needed beyond the scope of the Free Website Award package will be provided at a discounted rate. It’s our way of giving back.

UPDATE: All of our free website awards have been granted for the remainder of 2011 until Fall 2012. We have suspended applications for the Free Website Program until Summer 2012 – but we definitely encourage you to apply for our discounted web services in the meantime!
